How to play

A tap-to-hop colour-matching climber: your glowing mote may only pass through stained glass of its own colour, so time every hop as the gears, bars, flowers and prisms turn. Chain passes into a streak, burst into Rainbow and climb one continuous night sky through 100 levels in 10 chapters.

  1. Tap, click or press Space to hop. Stop tapping and the mote falls back down.
  2. Pass only through glass of your own colour; any other colour costs a life. A hue drop changes your colour, and it shows the new colour before you touch it.
  3. Pass glass quickly, one after another, to build a streak. At a streak of 5, then every 10 more, you turn Rainbow for 3 seconds and pass any colour.
  4. Climb through the band of light at the top of each level; the climb never stops and the glass keeps speeding up.
  5. Collect sparks and power-up orbs: Shield, Spark Magnet, Slow Spin, Updraft, Score ×2 and 1-UP.

About Prism Climb

Prism Climb is a tap-to-hop colour-matching climber set in a night sky full of stained glass. Every tap lifts your glowing mote a short hop, gravity pulls it back, and the glass above keeps turning: the mote may only pass through panes of its own colour. Hue drops on the way change your colour, and unlike a random switch each one shows the colour you are about to become. The climb is one continuous run through 100 levels in 10 chapters, from Rooftop Lanterns to the Prism Crown, and every chapter brings new glass: sliding bars, flowers that open and close, twin gears turning both ways, orbiting comets, paint stars that repaint the glass instead of you, spinning prisms, glass that stops and lurches back, panes that fade to clear and tight stacks with no room to wait. A fourth colour arrives in chapter four and a fifth in chapter nine, every tenth level ends in a Spectrum Gate, and after level 100 the sky goes on with endless mixed levels.

Prism Climb is an original game made for Rankeno Play and first released in 2026. You can play it free in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer without installing anything, and your best climbs are ranked on the Rankeno Play leaderboards.

Prism Climb tips and strategy

  • Wait for your colour, then commit. The glass turns at a steady rate, so watch one full turn, hover just below with light taps and go the moment your colour swings to the bottom: from a hover just below, one quick tap carries you through a band.
  • Inside a ring there is room to hover. Cross the bottom band, steady yourself in the middle with small taps, and wait there for the top band to show your colour too.
  • Speed pays. Each pass is worth 10 points times the chapter number, and your streak adds a quarter of that per step, up to five times as much; the streak only survives if the next pass comes within the flow window, about 5 seconds early on and 3.5 seconds late in the climb.
  • Rainbow arrives at a streak of 5 and again at 15, 25 and so on. For 3 seconds any colour is safe and every pane you fly through shatters for 30 times the chapter number, so tap fast and climb as far as you can while it lasts.
  • Slip past a wrong colour by 3 pixels or less without touching it for a CLOSE bonus worth 20 times the chapter number, which also adds one to your streak.
  • You start with 3 lives and can hold 5: a life comes back with every Spectrum Gate you clear, every 25 streak and the rare 1-UP orb. After a hit you wait in a bubble below the glass that got you, so take a breath before you tap.

Prism Climb FAQ

What do the paint stars do in Prism Climb?
From the Moonglass chapter, paint stars float between some of the glass. Instead of changing your colour like a hue drop, a paint star repaints the next piece of glass above you, shifting every pane to a different colour with a visible sweep, so you have to read it again before you climb.
How long is a level in Prism Climb?
Level 1 has 6 pieces of glass and the count grows slowly to 28 at level 100, with a band of light at the top of each level that you climb straight through. The glass also turns faster and sits closer together as you climb, and the pace never drops back after a level or a lost life.
Is Prism Climb free to play?
Yes. Prism Climb is free on Rankeno Play and runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download or install. You can play straight away as a guest; a free account is only needed to save scores to the leaderboards.
Can I play Prism Climb on my phone or tablet?
Yes. It runs in mobile and desktop browsers, and the portrait stage scales to fit your screen. On a touchscreen: tap anywhere to hop. On a computer: Space, ↑, W or Enter to hop.
How do the Prism Climb leaderboards work?
When you are signed in, every finished run is submitted automatically; a run you leave part-way does not count. Played as a guest? Sign in within an hour in the same browser tab and your guest scores are posted too. Boards rank one best score per player (highest points first) for Today, This week and All time, globally or among your friends. Today and This week reset at midnight UTC, and the week starts on Monday.
