Flick cards into buckets and make 21

  • Tap anywhere on the table: the card flies there, then drops into the bucket below.
  • Make 21 in a bucket to clear it. Ace + a 10-card is a Blackjack (150), any other 21 is 100, six cards without busting is 60.
  • Going over 21 busts the bucket: −50 points, and in Timed you lose 5 seconds.

How to play Physics 21

Blackjack meets physics: tap the felt to flick each card into one of three buckets. Hit 21, chase blackjacks and streaks, and never bust.

  1. Tap anywhere on the table: the card flies there, then drops into the bucket below.
  2. Make 21 in a bucket to clear it. Ace + a 10-card is a Blackjack (150), any other 21 is 100, six cards without busting is 60.
  3. Going over 21 busts the bucket: −50 points, and in Timed you lose 5 seconds.
  4. A Blackjack lights that bucket’s spinner (×2 on its next clears) and gives you a dismiss. Clears in a row build a streak, up to ×2.
  5. Hit the spinning gold token for +25. Use DISMISS to skip a card you can’t place.

About Physics 21

Physics 21 is a blackjack-style score game played on a physics table. Each card flies from the top to wherever you aim, then drops into one of three buckets. A bucket clears at exactly 21 or when it holds six cards without going over, and busts once its total passes 21. Blackjacks light ×2 spinners, clears without a bust build a streak, and a drifting gold token pays a bonus.

Physics 21 was first released for iPhone and iPad in 2011. Rankeno Play rebuilt it to run in the browser, free, with leaderboards for its Timed, Expert and Single Deck modes.

Physics 21 tips and strategy

  • A lit spinner doubles every clear in its bucket until that bucket busts, so keep risky cards out of it and feed it only cards that keep the total safe.
  • Only a bust resets your streak. If a card would bust every bucket, dismiss it: that costs nothing, while a bust costs at least 50 points, the streak and that bucket’s spinner.
  • A Blackjack needs an ace and a 10, J, Q or K as a bucket’s first two cards, so keep a bucket empty when you can. It also adds a dismiss, up to five.
  • A bucket holding five cards with a hard total of 11 or less cannot bust on its sixth card, which scores at least 60, or 160 if it makes exactly 21.
  • In Timed, a Blackjack adds 4 seconds, any other 21 adds 3 and a spinner bucket adds 1 more, shrinking as levels rise. Expert never adds time, so its 30 seconds are all you get.
  • Single Deck never reshuffles its 52 cards, so count the four aces and sixteen 10-value cards as they pass. When most tens are gone, high totals become safer to build on.

Physics 21 FAQ

What is the difference between Timed, Expert and Single Deck in Physics 21?

Timed starts at 60 seconds; clears add time and a bust costs 5 seconds. Expert starts at 30 seconds, never adds time, triples all points and penalties, and a bust costs 3 seconds. Single Deck has no clock and ends when one 52-card deck runs out.

What does the spinner do in Physics 21?

A Blackjack lights the spinner on its bucket. Every later clear in that bucket scores double, on top of the streak bonus, until the bucket busts. A Blackjack in a lit bucket at a full ×2 streak scores 600 points, or 1800 in Expert.

Is Physics 21 free to play?

Yes. Physics 21 is free on Rankeno Play and runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download or install. You can play straight away as a guest; a free account is only needed to save scores to the leaderboards.

Can I play Physics 21 on my phone or tablet?

Yes. It runs in mobile and desktop browsers, and the portrait stage scales to fit your screen. On a touchscreen: tap where the card should go; tap DISMISS to skip a card. On a computer: 1 / 2 / 3 shoot into a bucket; arrows + Space aim anywhere; X dismiss.

How do the Physics 21 leaderboards work?

When you are signed in, every finished run is submitted automatically; guest scores are not saved. Physics 21 has three modes — Timed, Expert and Single Deck — each with its own boards. Boards rank one best score per player (highest points first) for Today, This week and All time, globally or among your friends. Today and This week reset at midnight UTC, and the week starts on Monday.
