About Prospector Solitaire
Prospector Solitaire is a Klondike-style solitaire dressed for a gold rush. The seven columns of a wooden sluice box build down in alternating colours, the four assay pans fill by suit from Ace to King, and an ore cart deals one card at a time, three times through. Six cards in every deal, never an Ace or a 2, carry a gold nugget, and the claim clock starts at 1800 and drains by 3 points a second, so a quick, clean claim is worth far more than a slow one.
It is an original game made for Rankeno Play and first released in 2026, and it plays free in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. Not every deal can be cleared, which is why you can stake a claim at any moment; every finished run is ranked on the Rankeno Play leaderboards.
Prospector Solitaire tips and strategy
- Turn over face-down cards first. Each one revealed is worth 5 points and opens up the table, and a nugget card that is still face down glints through its back, so dig toward the gold.
- Pan moves in a row build a streak: the multiplier is ×2 from the 3rd consecutive pan move, ×3 from the 5th and ×4 from the 7th, and it multiplies both the 10 card points and the 60-point nugget bonus.
- Dealing from the cart, a column move or a waste-to-column move ends the streak. Line up several cards that can go to the pans, then send them up one after another.
- The cart can only be run through 3 times. Before a refill, make every column move you can, because on the last pass a card stuck under later draws in the waste may never come free.
- Undo is limited to 3 per run and it takes back the points too, so keep it for a misplaced King or a deal you regret rather than for peeking at the cart.
- When a deal stalls, Stake claim banks the clock times your share of assayed cards: 26 cards with 1000 left on the clock adds 500. A full clear pays 1000 plus the whole clock instead.
Prospector Solitaire FAQ
How does the claim clock work in Prospector Solitaire?
The clock starts at 1800 and loses 3 points for every second of play; it stops while the game is paused. Clearing all 52 cards adds the claim bonus of 1000 plus whatever is left on the clock. Ending early with Stake claim, or running out of moves, adds the clock multiplied by the fraction of the 52 cards already in the pans.
What happens when no moves are left in Prospector Solitaire?
Once the ore cart has used its 3 passes and no sequence of moves can put a card in a pan, turn over a hidden card, empty a column or play the waste card, the game says so and stakes your claim for you. When every card is face up and the cart and waste are empty, the rest of the cards are collected automatically.
Is Prospector Solitaire free to play?
Yes. Prospector Solitaire is free on Rankeno Play and runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download or install. You can play straight away as a guest; a free account is only needed to save scores to the leaderboards.
Can I play Prospector Solitaire on my phone or tablet?
Yes. It runs in mobile and desktop browsers, and the portrait stage scales to fit your screen. On a touchscreen: tap a card to send it to its best spot, drag a card or a run to choose, tap the ore cart to deal, tap Stake claim twice to end. On a computer: 1–7 move that column’s card or run; W moves the waste card; Space deals from the cart; Z undoes; C twice stakes the claim.
How do the Prospector Solitaire leaderboards work?
When you are signed in, every finished run is submitted automatically; guest scores are not saved. Boards rank one best score per player (highest points first) for Today, This week and All time, globally or among your friends. Today and This week reset at midnight UTC, and the week starts on Monday.
