- Fill a whole row, column or 3×3 bed to make it bloom and clear. Several at once score much more.
- Bloom on consecutive moves to build a combo (up to ×10); three placements without a bloom and it wilts.

About Bloom Blocks
Bloom Blocks is a block-placement puzzle played on a 9×9 garden divided into nine 3×3 beds. You are dealt three flower pieces at a time, from a single cell up to a full 3×3 square, and plant them wherever they fit. A completed row, column or bed blooms and clears, making room for more. Points come from planting, from blooming several groups at once, and from combo streaks, single-colour groups and golden seeds.
Bloom Blocks is an original game made for Rankeno Play and first released in 2026. Each run is open-ended: there is no timer, the deal gradually shifts towards larger pieces, and the game ends when none of the pieces in hand fits anywhere in the garden.
Bloom Blocks tips and strategy
- Keep one 3×3 bed or a straight run of five cells open. From the third deal on, 2×3 blocks and 3×3 squares can appear, and large pieces grow more common over a run.
- Pieces arrive in fixed orientations and no new set is dealt until all three are placed, so plant the most awkward piece first while the garden still has room for it.
- Blooming several groups with one piece pays far more: one group is worth 20, two 60, three 120 and four 200 before the combo. Set up crossing lines that one piece can finish.
- After a bloom you get three placements of grace, shown as leaves on the combo badge. Use two to set up the next line, as long as you bloom again by the third.
- A 3×3 square dropped into an empty bed fills it with one colour, so it blooms at once and also earns the 40-point single-colour bonus, multiplied by your combo.
- A new golden seed appears only at a deal when none is waiting, so plant on it promptly. Each golden flower then pays 50 times your combo when its group blooms.
Bloom Blocks FAQ
How are points scored in Bloom Blocks?
Each planted cell scores 1 point. A bloom scores 20 for one group, 60 for two, 120 for three and 200 for four, plus 40 per single-colour group and 50 per golden flower, all multiplied by the combo. Clearing the whole garden adds a flat 300.
How do combos work in Bloom Blocks?
Every placement that blooms at least one group raises the combo by one, and bloom points are multiplied by it, up to ×10. After a bloom you have three placements to bloom again; the third placement in a row without a bloom resets the combo.
Is Bloom Blocks free to play?
Yes. Bloom Blocks is free on Rankeno Play and runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download or install. You can play straight away as a guest; a free account is only needed to save scores to the leaderboards.
Can I play Bloom Blocks on my phone or tablet?
Yes. It runs in mobile and desktop browsers, and the portrait stage scales to fit your screen. On a touchscreen: drag a piece into the garden, or tap a piece then tap where it should go. On a computer: Mouse: drag pieces; 1–3 pick a piece (Q/E cycle); arrows / WASD move it; Space or Enter plants.
How do the Bloom Blocks leaderboards work?
When you are signed in, every finished run is submitted automatically; guest scores are not saved. Boards rank one best score per player (highest points first) for Today, This week and All time, globally or among your friends. Today and This week reset at midnight UTC, and the week starts on Monday.
