How to play

A colour sort puzzle on an alchemist's candlelit shelf: tap a vial, then another, to pour its top layer onto the same colour or into an empty vial. Fill each vial with one colour to seal it with a cork pop, and clear 100 levels across ten chapters of frozen vials, cloudy layers, candles, wax corks, rune flasks and cauldron bosses.

  1. Tap a vial to pick it up, then tap another vial (or drag onto it) to pour the top layer across.
  2. Liquid only pours onto the same colour or into an empty vial, as much as fits.
  3. A vial filled with a single colour seals with a cork. Seal every vial on the shelf to clear the level.
  4. Watch your pours, and the candle on candle levels: running out costs a life and deals a fresh mix of the same level.

About Potion Pour

Potion Pour is a colour sort puzzle in the water-sort style, set on an alchemist's candlelit shelf of glass vials. Each vial holds stacked layers of coloured potion; tap one, then tap another, and its top layer pours across if the target shows the same colour on top or is empty. A vial filled with a single colour seals with a cork pop, and sealing the whole shelf clears the level. The 100 levels run through ten chapters, Apprentice Shelf, Frost Pantry, Misty Cellar, Drip Laboratory, Candlelit Tower, Wax Archive, Rune Vault, Glassworks, Bubbling Brewery and the Grand Laboratory, and each one brings something new: frozen vials that Ember pours crack open, cloudy layers that hide their colour, narrow drip flasks, candles to beat, wax corks, rune flasks, taller glass and volatile brews that boil over.

Potion Pour is an original game made for Rankeno Play and first released in 2026. It runs free in any modern browser on a phone or a computer, and a built-in solver checks every shelf before you see it. Every fifth level is a Sparkle Brew where every layer glitters, every tenth is a cauldron that wants its colours in a set order, and after level 100 the shelves keep coming at full difficulty. Each run's points are ranked on the Rankeno Play leaderboards.

Potion Pour tips and strategy

  • Seals made within three pours of each other build a Brew chain that multiplies the 250-point seal up to eight times, so get two or three vials one pour from full and then finish them back to back.
  • Glittering layers fizz for 100 points the moment they meet their own colour. Every fizz also sends a spark that clears the nearest cloudy layer, cracks the nearest ice, or gives you an extra pour (two candle seconds on candle levels).
  • In the Frost Pantry every Ember pour cracks one layer of ice on every frozen vial, and sealing the Ember thaws them all at once, so work on the fire potion first.
  • Clearing a level in par pours or fewer pays a 1,000-point Perfect bonus and refills an Undo. Each pour you have left adds 80 points and each second of candle left adds 20, and later chapters multiply everything.
  • A run begins with 3 lives and never holds more than 5. Brewing a cauldron gives a life back plus one of every booster you have unlocked, and you can carry three of each booster.
  • A volatile brew shows a count on its vial: pour that colour before the count runs out or it boils over and costs three pours, or eight seconds on candle levels. Sealing it ends the danger and pays 200 points.

Potion Pour FAQ

Can every Potion Pour shelf be solved?
Every one, yes. Before a shelf appears, a built-in solver pours it all the way to the end under that level's rules, frozen vials, corks and rune flasks included, and the length of its line sets the par. A careless pour can still leave you stuck, which is what Undo, the extra vial and starting the shelf over are for.
What happens when I run out of pours in Potion Pour?
You lose one of your lives and get a fresh mix of the same level. If you hold an Undo and your last pour sealed nothing, the game offers it for a moment first, which gives that pour back. Losing the final life ends the run.
Is Potion Pour free to play?
Yes. Potion Pour is free on Rankeno Play and runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download or install. You can play straight away as a guest; a free account is only needed to save scores to the leaderboards.
Can I play Potion Pour on my phone or tablet?
Yes. It runs in mobile and desktop browsers, and the portrait stage scales to fit your screen. On a touchscreen: tap a vial, then tap where to pour, or drag one vial onto another; tap a booster under the shelf; tap the level badge twice to start a shelf over. On a computer: Mouse: click a vial, then click where to pour (or drag); arrows move the cursor; Space or Enter picks up and pours; 1-9 and 0 pick a vial; U Undo; H Hint; E Extra vial; R Reveal; S Swirl; F Freeze; Backspace twice starts the shelf over.
How do the Potion Pour leaderboards work?
When you are signed in, every finished run is submitted automatically; a run you leave part-way does not count. Played as a guest? Sign in within an hour in the same browser tab and your guest scores are posted too. Boards rank one best score per player (highest points first) for Today, This week and All time, globally or among your friends. Today and This week reset at midnight UTC, and the week starts on Monday.
