How to play
An air hockey game against a computer rival on a glowing neon table: drag your mallet, smack the puck and bank it off the rails into the goal. Long rallies heat the puck up for double and triple points across 100 levels in 10 chapters.
- Drag anywhere and your mallet chases a point just above your thumb (or follows the mouse). On a keyboard, steer it with the arrow keys or WASD.
- Move through the puck to hit it: the faster your mallet is moving, the harder the shot. Space is a lunge, a quick dash at the nearest puck.
- Score in the rival’s goal at the far end before it scores in yours. The first side to the target wins the match; a tie when the clock runs out goes to golden goal.
- Every time a struck puck crosses the centre line the rally heats up: 4 crossings make it HOT (your goals score ×2) and 8 make it BLITZ (×3).
- Hit the power tokens that slide out of the side-rail hatch with the puck to claim them. A lost match costs a life, and the run ends when the last one is gone.

About Puck Blitz
Puck Blitz is an air hockey game for one player against a computer rival, played on a tall neon table seen from a low three-quarter camera. You defend the goal at the near end and drive the puck into the rival’s goal at the far end, first to five goals early on and up to seven later, against a match clock. Three ideas make it more than a straight shootout. Rallies heat up: each time a struck puck crosses the centre line a heat pip lights, and a long exchange turns the puck HOT and then BLITZ, worth two and three times the points. Bank shots that touch a side rail after your last hit pay a bonus for every rail. And power tokens slide out of a hatch in the side rail, so hitting one with the puck claims it. Each of the ten chapters adds a table feature, from speed rails and ice pillars to portals, gravity wells and storm gusts, with a boss rival at every tenth level and a three-puck rush bonus at every fifth.
Puck Blitz is an original game made for Rankeno Play and first released in 2026. It plays free in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer with nothing to install, and finished runs by signed-in players go on the Rankeno Play leaderboards.

Puck Blitz tips and strategy
- Watch the rival’s mallet before it shoots. A yellow ring tightens around it during the wind-up, and the way it pulls back shows where the strike is going. Early rivals wind up for more than a quarter of a second; the best ones barely pause.
- Guard the line between the puck and the middle of your goal instead of chasing the puck around your half. A mallet that sits back and slides sideways stops most straight shots, and the counter comes while the rival is still recovering.
- Aim for the side rails. A bank goal pays 50 points per rail touched after your hit, times the chapter number, and early rivals read no rail bounces at all, so a one-rail bank often beats a block that would stop the straight shot.
- Heat works for both sides: a HOT or BLITZ puck is faster, so keep a long rally going only when your mallet is set in front of your goal. A goal or a fresh serve cools the puck again.
- A puck left in one half for six seconds is served to the other side, so pinning it in a corner never stalls the match. Goals in the last five seconds of the clock pay a buzzer bonus, and a golden goal pays even more.
- Bring the power tokens into your shots. Big Mallet makes blocking easy for ten seconds, Freeze Rival stops its mallet for two and a half, and Double Goal makes your next goal count twice, toward the match as well as in points.
