Salad Slash

Swipe the veggies, fill the order, dodge the hot pan

  • Swipe, or hold the mouse button and drag, through vegetables as they fly up from behind the counter. Several in one swipe make a combo.
  • The ticket on the rail asks for a recipe. Slice those ingredients in any order to fill the bowl for a chef bonus and 3 seconds of slow-motion chef focus.
  • Never slice a flaming chili or a hot pan: each one burns one of your 3 chef hats.

About Salad Slash

Salad Slash is a swipe-slicing arcade game set in a busy restaurant kitchen. Vegetables are tossed up from behind the counter and you cut them out of the air with a finger, a mouse or a keyboard knife. Every run is also a cooking shift: a ticket on the rail asks for a small recipe, and the ingredients you slice land in the salad bowl until the order is done. Flaming chilis and hot pans fly up with the produce, a bag of frozen peas slows the clock and onions make the edges of the screen teary.

Salad Slash is an original Rankeno Play game, first released in 2026. It plays free in any modern browser with nothing to install, and each finished shift can post its score to the Rankeno Play leaderboards.

Salad Slash tips and strategy

  • Combos grow fast: a swipe through two vegetables adds 10, three add 30, four add 60 and five add 100, topping out at 450 for ten or more. Each cut has to follow the last one within 0.3 seconds, so one quick stroke through a cluster pays far more than separate cuts.
  • Read the ticket before you swipe. Each vegetable tossed has roughly an even chance or better of being one it still needs, and finishing it pays 25 points per item: 75 for the first three-item orders and 150 once tickets reach six items.
  • Chef focus after an order and frozen peas both slow the kitchen down, to 45 and 50 percent speed. Use that slow motion to line up long combo swipes through crowded volleys.
  • Slicing a chili or a pan costs a hat and also cancels the combo you were building in that swipe. When something hot sits near a cluster, lift your finger, go around it and start a fresh swipe.
  • Drops fill the three pips under the hats; the third takes a hat and empties the pips. A burnt hat never comes back, so letting one awkward vegetable fall is usually better than cutting through a chili to reach it.
  • Vegetables are a little easier to hit than they look and hot items a little harder, and every vegetable gets at least a third of a second well clear of any chili or pan. Wait for that gap instead of forcing the cut.

Salad Slash FAQ

What ends a shift in Salad Slash?

You start with three chef hats. Slicing a flaming chili or a hot pan burns one hat, and every third vegetable that falls back behind the counter uncut costs another. When the last hat is gone the kitchen closes. There is no timer, but each wave tosses more vegetables, faster, with more hot items mixed in.

Can I play Salad Slash with a keyboard?

Yes. The arrow keys or WASD steer a knife target around the kitchen, and Space or Enter slashes a short blade through it along the direction you last moved. Holding Space while you steer keeps cutting along the target’s path, so you can sweep through a row of vegetables.

Is Salad Slash free to play?

Yes. Salad Slash is free on Rankeno Play and runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download or install. You can play straight away as a guest; a free account is only needed to save scores to the leaderboards.

Can I play Salad Slash on my phone or tablet?

Yes. It runs in mobile and desktop browsers, and the portrait stage scales to fit your screen. On a touchscreen: swipe through the vegetables. On a computer: Mouse: hold and drag to slice; Arrows / WASD steer the knife; Space or Enter slashes (hold it to keep cutting).

How do the Salad Slash leaderboards work?

When you are signed in, every finished run is submitted automatically; guest scores are not saved. Boards rank one best score per player (highest points first) for Today, This week and All time, globally or among your friends. Today and This week reset at midnight UTC, and the week starts on Monday.
