How to play

A deep-space pinball game: work the flippers to finish each mission, then shoot the ball into the warp to start the next one while it is still in play. 100 levels on ten tables, with gravity planets, multiball and a black hole boss every 10th level.

  1. Hold anywhere (or Space) to pull the plunger and let go to launch. Let go inside the gold band to roll the middle lane for a skill shot.
  2. Touch or click the left or right half of the table to flip that flipper; two thumbs work at once. A quick upward swipe nudges the table.
  3. Finish the mission on the top line, then shoot the ball into the open warp to start the next level with the ball still in play.
  4. Roll through floating power stars for multiball, a drain shield, a comet ball and more.
  5. You start with 3 balls (up to 5). Losing your last ball in play costs one, and the run ends when none are left.

About Nebula Pinball

Nebula Pinball is a pinball game set on ten glowing deep-space tables, played with two flippers, a plunger and a nudge. Every level is a mission on the current table: pop the star bumpers, knock down the drop targets, loop the orbit, light the three top lanes, slingshot the ball around a planet, ride the glass Comet Ramp and more. Finish it and a warp swirls open in the middle of the playfield; shoot the ball into it and the next mission starts in about a second, with the ball still in play. Planets pull the ball with real gravity, so shots curve around them, and each chapter brings its own table and twist: orbiting moons, drifting asteroids, a spinning pulsar rotor, wormholes, solar wind, ion gates that open on a beat, sinkholes and a pulsing heart star. Every 5th level is a meteor shower bonus round and every 10th is a roaming black hole boss guarded by orbiting shards. After level 100 the tables return in an endless remix at top difficulty.

Nebula Pinball is an original Rankeno Play game, first released in 2026. It runs free in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer with nothing to install, and finished runs from signed-in players are ranked on the Rankeno Play leaderboards.

Nebula Pinball tips and strategy

  • Shoot the warp quickly: its bonus starts at 10,000 plus 1,000 per level, drains to half over 20 seconds (watch the gold ring around it), and is multiplied by your chapter number and by a running combo of up to x3.
  • Chain different shots. An orbit, ramp, slingshot, wormhole, completed target bank or warp within 4 seconds of the previous one raises the combo up to x6, but the same shot twice in a row does not count.
  • Do not flail. Six quick flips in a row overheat a flipper and it drops for 1.2 seconds, and holding a ball on a raised flipper for 8 seconds cools it too. Flip when the ball arrives instead.
  • Light all three top lanes to relight both outlane kickbacks. Each flip shifts the lit lanes left or right, so you can steer an unlit lane under a falling ball.
  • Power stars unlock as you go: Multiball from level 1, Ball Save at 3, Comet Ball at 5, Super Flippers at 11, Score x2 at 21, Magnet Catch at 31, Extra Ball at 41 and Nova at 51.
  • From chapter 2 every mission runs on a timer. Running out does not cost a ball, but it halves your progress, so go for the mission shot rather than safe bumper rattles.

Nebula Pinball FAQ

How do missions and the warp work in Nebula Pinball?
The line at the top of the table shows the current mission and its progress. When you finish it, the warp opens and an arrow points at it; shooting the ball into the warp pays the warp bonus, re-lights the table for the next mission and sends the ball back out, so you never wait for a drain or a new ball. Losing a ball keeps the mission progress, and boss levels end with a supernova that moves you to the next table.
How do I earn extra balls?
You start with 3 balls and can hold up to 5. Beating a black hole boss gives one back, so does finishing five warps in a row without losing a ball, and from level 41 a rare Extra Ball power star can drift onto the table. Each new ball also starts with a ball save that returns a quick drain to the plunger.
Is Nebula Pinball free to play?
Yes. Nebula Pinball is free on Rankeno Play and runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download or install. You can play straight away as a guest; a free account is only needed to save scores to the leaderboards.
Can I play Nebula Pinball on my phone or tablet?
Yes. It runs in mobile and desktop browsers, and the portrait stage scales to fit your screen. On a touchscreen: touch and hold the left or right half for that flipper; hold anywhere to pull the plunger, let go to launch; swipe up quickly to nudge. On a computer: ← Z or A: left flipper; → / or D: right flipper; Space, Enter or ↓: hold and release the plunger (both flippers once the ball is in play); ↑ or N: nudge.
How do the Nebula Pinball leaderboards work?
When you are signed in, every finished run is submitted automatically; a run you leave part-way does not count. Played as a guest? Sign in within an hour in the same browser tab and your guest scores are posted too. Boards rank one best score per player (highest points first) for Today, This week and All time, globally or among your friends. Today and This week reset at midnight UTC, and the week starts on Monday.
