How to play
A tower defense game in a flower meadow: build bee towers on the hex grass, merge two identical towers into one a tier higher, and stop the bugs marching down the honeycomb path before they carry off your honey jars. Play 100 waves across 10 meadows with flying wasps, armoured beetles, stag-beetle bosses and Royal Jelly perks.
- Tap a grass hex next to the honeycomb path to build a bee tower (with several towers unlocked a ring menu opens; each tower shows its price).
- Twins (two towers of the same kind and tier) pulse blue, with a link between them when they are close. Tap one and press Merge, or drag it onto the other, to fuse them into the next tier, up to tier 7. Merging frees a hex.
- Towers next to a flower make it give pollen while bugs are out, and every popped bug drops some too.
- Every bug that reaches the hive carries off honey jars. You start with 10, and the run ends when the last jar is gone.
- Use the powers in the bottom bar, speed the game up, or send the next wave early for bonus pollen and points. From wave 51, spare pollen buys back a honey jar.

About Honey Hold
Honey Hold is a tower defense game set in a sunny meadow of hexagon grass. Ants, shell beetles, wasps, caterpillars, snails and other cartoon bugs come out of a burrow and march down a golden honeycomb path toward your hive, and every one that gets there carries off honey jars. You stop them with bee towers built on the grass hexes beside the path: the Stinger hive, the Honey sprayer, the Pollen cannon, the Mantis and the Firefly lantern. The twist is merging: two identical towers fuse into one tower a tier higher, which hits much harder and frees a hex for something new. After the first wave the queen sends a free twin for your first hive, so the first merge comes in the opening minute. Pollen, the currency, comes from popped bugs and from flowers that your towers sit next to. The run is 100 waves across 10 meadows, from Clover Meadow and Orchard Rows to Moonlit Meadow and the Honey Palace, each with a new bug or a new twist, a stag-beetle boss every tenth wave and endless waves after the hundredth.
Honey Hold was made for Rankeno Play and first came out in 2026. It plays for free in the browser on phones, tablets and computers with nothing to download, and every finished run lands on the Rankeno Play leaderboards with the furthest wave you reached.

Honey Hold tips and strategy
- Merge early and often. A tier 2 tower costs exactly two tier 1 towers but deals 2.2 times the damage per hit and shoots 10% faster, and the hex it frees is worth even more. A tier 5 tower is worth sixteen tier 1 towers and deals about 34 times the damage per second of one, and a tier 7 tower (64 hives’ worth) about 200 times.
- Hexes where the path bends or passes twice are the best spots: one tower can reach two stretches of path. Building next to a flower as well makes that flower give pollen every few seconds while bugs are on the board.
- Armoured bugs (shell beetles, stink bugs, snails, hornets and the stag beetles) shrug off Stinger darts almost completely: a Stinger keeps only 5% of its damage against them, a Firefly 25%, a Honey sprayer 50% and a Pollen cannon 70%. The Mantis slash cuts straight through armour and hits up to 4 bugs in a line (6 from tier 3), and the Swarm Strike bee cloud ignores armour too.
- Wasps, moths and hornets fly a straight line from the burrow to the hive, shown as a dotted lane. Only Stinger hives and Firefly lanterns can reach them, and a Firefly hits flyers three times as hard.
- Swarm Strike recharges every 28 seconds: tap it, then tap a clump of bugs. Frost Dew freezes every bug for 2.5 seconds (a stag beetle for half that), Honey Flood halves their speed for 6 seconds and Royal Rush doubles every tower’s fire rate for 6 seconds. A golden aphid recharges all of them when you pop it.
- Tapping Go before the countdown ends sends the next wave early and pays bonus pollen and points for every second you skip, so a strong defence earns faster. A wave held without losing a jar pays half again as many points.
