Nine fresh mini golf holes every round, never the same

  • Drag back from the ball like a slingshot and let go to putt. A longer pull hits harder.
  • Each hole pays (par + 3 − strokes) × 100 points, and a hole in one pays 1,000.
  • Coins pay 50, and each extra coin in the same putt pays 50 more: 50, 100, 150…

About Pocket Putt

Pocket Putt is a top-down mini golf game in which every round builds nine new holes from its seed. Each fairway is laid out on a grid of tiles, with 45° banks in closed corners and some stretches widened into broad greens, then dressed with sand traps, ponds, slope tiles marked by moving arrows, round bumpers, springy pink rails, swinging flippers, spinning bars, sliding blocks and one-way pipes. Before a hole reaches you, a shot-planning bot plays it with the same physics you use and has to hole out within par plus two; any layout it cannot finish is thrown away and rebuilt.

Pocket Putt is a Rankeno Play original, first released in 2026. It is free to play in any modern browser with no download, and every finished round is ranked on the Rankeno Play leaderboards.

Pocket Putt tips and strategy

  • Par is worth 300 points on every hole, a birdie 400 and an eagle 500, while par plus three or worse scores nothing. A safe two-putt usually beats a bold line that risks costing two strokes.
  • A hole in one pays a flat 1,000, more than three pars put together. On the short par-2 and par-3 holes early in a round, go straight for the cup whenever you have a clear line to it.
  • The cup only catches a ball that arrives slowly. Race at it and the ball lips out, gets thrown off line and loses speed, so judge the pull to finish just past the hole rather than blasting through it.
  • Coins stack inside a single putt: the first pays 50, the second 100, the third 150 and so on. Lining up two or three in one roll, often off a bank or a pink spring rail, is worth far more than collecting them one at a time.
  • Sand is about four times as sticky as the fairway, so clipping a trap kills a putt. Slope tiles bend and speed up a rolling ball the way their arrows run, but never push hard enough to move a resting one, so you can always putt from a slope.
  • Purple pipes are one-way shortcuts that skip at least two tiles of the route. Roll into the swirling mouth and the ball pops out of the exit along its arrow with most of its speed, often setting up a birdie.

Pocket Putt FAQ

Are the holes in Pocket Putt the same every time?

No. Every round builds nine new holes, from short three-tile holes at the start to winding courses of nine or ten tiles with up to two wide greens at the end. A bot proves each hole can be holed within par plus two before you play it.

What happens if I cannot sink the ball in Pocket Putt?

After eight strokes, water penalties included, the hole ends with no points for it and the next one starts. Any coins you picked up on that hole still count.

Is Pocket Putt free to play?

Yes. Pocket Putt is free on Rankeno Play and runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download or install. You can play straight away as a guest; a free account is only needed to save scores to the leaderboards.

Can I play Pocket Putt on my phone or tablet?

Yes. It runs in mobile and desktop browsers, and the portrait stage scales to fit your screen. On a touchscreen: drag back from the ball and let go to putt; tap the scorecard for the next hole. On a computer: Mouse: drag back from the ball and release; ← → or A/D to aim, hold Space to fill the power meter and release to putt; Enter or Space for the next hole.

How do the Pocket Putt leaderboards work?

When you are signed in, every finished run is submitted automatically; guest scores are not saved. Boards rank one best score per player (highest points first) for Today, This week and All time, globally or among your friends. Today and This week reset at midnight UTC, and the week starts on Monday.
